𧩠Ford Focus 1.0 Ecoboost Vacuum Pump Problems
Luckily the ford dealer lent me the new ford Ecosport Titanium 1.0 125 for 2 days :) . Now it works just fine, no oil on the engine ( the block was thoroughly cleaned). Now I'm happy I purchased the extended 5year warranty. I'm still during the first 2 years ( purchased the focus on the 26th of January 2016) and the tachometer shows 18594 miles.

Yesterday while getting on the highway WOT the car simply lost power and noticed the car wasnât boosting as if it was in limp mode, no misfire, no pop, no sign of anything just simply dropped all boost. No faults, checked all pipes and lines, nothing blew off. Boost solenoid and DV have connectors on them and sounds like the solenoid is
That being said, stuff happens. Fuel pumps go bad and I'll tell you that there's never a bit of rhyme or reason to it. There's also very little, if any, foreshadowing to a failure. It sounds like the fuel pump may have failed. However I'm wondering which one as the the 1.0 has a high pressure pump driven off the cam and an in-tank pump as well

Easy to swap out, one vacuum line, one electrical connection and two bolts. Ford wanted $650 for the pump but I found it at rock auto for $325. Mechanical pump from ford is $90, probably cheaper online. Yikes! At least the install was easy. I've heard that several of these have failed and started getting loud.
This may not be your issue but its a simple 1 minute job to see the condition of this little rubber valve on any 1.0 Ecoboost engine and will save you spending almost ÂŁ500 on a vacuum pump or turbo! and even if you dont have a issue my engine is 9 years old that rubber valve is right above a turbo getting very hot and cold everyday i can imagine
It goes from the vacuum pump (on the driver side of the engine), snakes around to the back of the block/intake manifold area with some hard lines and then comes up front to the turbo. If it still appears attached on the turbo, unplug it with the car idling and see if it's pulling vacuum.

Focus Electric. 2012. If the Ford Focus has issues with low oil pressure there is one really common cause. A bad bearing in the main and rod, which happens naturally over time, will allow the oil to seep out. This will lead to low oil pressure. If this is not it then You may simply be low on oil, or the oil is old and needs to be changed.
